The anchor rope „POLARIS" has been especially developed as an anchor rope for the respiratory task force of the fire service.

Besides the apparent product details and possible uses fluorescent knots of special synthetic material are used to provide better visibility. Retro-reflecting fibres have been integrated into the rope, which facilitate finding the rope by spotlighting it.

The Polaris system offers the possibility of effective safety and orientation for the acting fire men when working with respiratory equipment in spacious rooms (office buildings, hospitals, warehouses etc.) without limiting their freedom of motion considerably.

The basis of this system is the anchor rope. It consists of an aramide core enveloped with the PX700 fibre. The use of this fibre combination guarantees the required resistance to high mechanical, chemical and thermal strain. Antistatic and non thermoconducting characteristics round off the positive image of the fibre.

For optimal orientation a combination of 1 and 3 knots is provided every 2.5 m, which allows feeling the direction of movement very well even with gloves.

Technical details:

For transport the rope is in a solid transport bag, which can be carried along with carrying belts (additional option) or Velcro® strips for being attached to the belt. To fix the line karabiners are provided on both ends.
