Has got two functions:
1)
The guided type fall arrester runs alongside the anchor line (12 mm
KM-rope), follows the user while moving up or down and locks
automatically on the anchor line in case of a fall. The
possible fall height results from the length of the lanyard between
the fall arrester and the full body harness. Generally, the shorter
the lanyard the shorter the fall distance.
The lanyard must never be longer than 1 metre.
2)
With the adjustment mechanism on the fall arrester (black button
with safety device), the arrester can be adjusted from
„guided type" to „always clamping", so it follows the
user automatically only while moving up . When moving down, the
device can be released with one hand and moved downwards.
Especially suitable for restraint systems.
Thanks to its small dimensions (99.5 x 70 mm),
light weight (205g without karabiner) and its various possibilities
of use, the fall arrester KONG „back-up" is especially
suitable for frequent users with varying tasks. It is suitable for
the euroline® KM rope 12 mm, can be attached later and at any
point of the rope.
Supplied with the steel karabiner EN 362 included.
